These seem to be more prevalent in men in their early twenties, and then around age 40. HSAs are not fully understood, but despite the unpleasant sensation they do not seem to be associated with more serious conditions.

Some men may suffer from painful ejaculation. One of the most common reasons is a condition known as prostatitis, in which case they may also feel pain before and after an orgasm, as well as while urinating.

Yes, some men cry during sex, often after orgasm. This is a symptom of post-coital tristesse, also known as post-coital dysphoria.

But crying is not the only unexpected emotional response. Some men also experience sadness, anxiety, and overall agitation.

What causes post-coital dysphoria? -

Why this happens depends on the person, but it has been associated with mental health issues such as depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

While “post-sex blues” affects both men and women, a 2018 study found that 41% of the men who took part in the research had experienced post-coital dysphoria at least once in their lives.

Feeling sick -

Some men experience fatigue, burning eyes, concentration difficulties, and general flu-like symptoms after ejaculating. This is known as post-orgasmic illness syndrome (POIS).

This is, in fact, normal. The urinary sphincter at the base of the bladder closes during sexual arousal to block urine from entering the urethra, so most men find it very difficult to urinate immediately after ejaculating.

Post-sex urination can be difficult, but sometimes it can be painful, too. An inflammation of the urethra known as urethritis may be the culprit if pain occurs. Sometimes STIs can also cause difficulty urinating after sex.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) occurs when a man is unable to get and/or maintain an erection. This may be caused by a number of factors, but it’s not uncommon for men to experience it.
