Long gloves, also known as evening or opera gloves, were once considered a mandatory form of etiquette amongst the upper class in the Victorian era. The formal gloves typically reach above the elbow, and though they're no longer mandatory, decades later they remain a fashion staple, often used to accessorize special occasion dresses.
Lucky for celebrities, they often have many special occasions to dress for, and over the years we've seen numerous actors and musicians don the classic look in many different styles, materials, and manners. Click through to see some of the greatest gloved looks from stars of past and present.
