Aries has a unique brand of snarkiness that can lighten the mood or completely roast someone, depending on the day. They don't tend to appreciate being on the receiving end of a joke, however. They can get the most laughs from light teasing that retains a playful (rather than acerbic) tone.

▲

Cancers can get personal, but they're the funniest water sign by far. Their powers of observation mean that they are adept at finding people's quirks and like to make jokes about them. Their sense of kindness stops them from taking things too far.

▲

Libras bring a positive attitude and tend to be flirtatious, but they're not the funniest. They do love to be around fun people and enjoy the company of their funnier friends, making them a great audience for your jokes!

▲

The award for the driest sense of humor goes to Capricorn, but they take themselves too seriously to really lean into hilarity. Like Aries, they can also dish it out, but they can't take it.

▲

For Taurus, down-to-earth sarcasm is their M.O. The topics they joke about tend to be neutral, rather than ribbing their friends and family like some of the other signs. They have a relaxed way of relating to others that puts them at ease and makes them receptive to their charm and humor.

▲

The world's a stage for Leo, who can summon laughter from the right audience. Jokes and stories are performances, and they are partial to pranks. However, they might struggle to know when to pull it back a notch.

▲

Aquarius is a bit of an oddity in general, and their humor is no different. Between their family and close friends, they'll be the ones coming up with the offbeat in-jokes. A lot of their humor will fly over the heads of most people, however.

▲

Scorpios aren't known for being the funniest zodiac signs, as their humor can miss the mark, stinging the person on the other end of it. Unless they're leaning into their talent for dark comedy, they aren't getting many laughs.

▲

And in the number one spot, Gemini! They're the social butterflies of the zodiac for a reason: their quick-wittedness, ability to play on words, and powers of improvisation make them a hoot to be around. They're engaging and their sense of comedic timing is unbeaten. So if you want to have a good time, spend it with a Gemini.

▲

Pisces is the least funny sign. While they excel at being empathetic and sensitive, their humor can be turned inward for fear of offending people. Self-deprecation can be difficult for some people to know how to respond to, so it might fall flat and leave them red-faced.

▲

Bold and not afraid to offend, a Sagittarius' level of comfort with themselves translates into a very humorous friend or family member. Free-spirited and fun, making others laugh helps them enjoy life—their main priority!

▲

Mercury-ruled Virgos are masters of communication, and that extends to making others laugh. They are critical and self-deprecating, but remember to keep others in on the joke—landing lots of laughs!

▲

Trevor Noah, Chelsea Handler, and Jordan Peele are examples of famously funny Pisces.

▲

Each sign is funny in its own unique way, but certain kinds of humor are more crowd-pleasing. Finding people who match or appreciate your comedy is going to take a joke the way it was intended!

▲

Whether it's snarkiness, wit, or side-splitting jokes, humor has as much to do with the person on the receiving end as the comedian.

▲

Some signs, more than others, have all the right wiring to make people laugh out loud. Others are complete pranksters.

▲

Good humor means having a sense of ease and confidence around others, which comes naturally to some star signs of the zodiac.
