The global economy continues to be shaped by various factors ranging from tech advances to shifts in politics and everything in between. The richest nations are often characterized by high GDP-PPP per capita. GDP per capita measures the average economic output per person by dividing a country's total GDP by its population. For example, a figure of $60,000 suggests that, on average, each person contributes $60,000 to the economy through goods, services, or income. When adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), this accounts for differences in cost of living and inflation between countries, allowing for a more accurate comparison of economic performance and living standards. Global Finance compiled a list that ranks countries according to their GDP-PPP (in US dollars) and in this gallery, you'll find the top 30 in 2024.
