The term "mobbing" was originally coined to describe predatory animal behavior. Today, it characterizes a particularly insidious and upsetting form of bullying in the workplace. From spreading rumors to making your daily working life a hostile experience, mobbers engage in a form of group bullying (whether consciously or unconsciously) that makes their victim feel harassed, criticized, and ultimately isolated. It's a trend that appears to be on the rise; or could it just be that more people are coming forward to speak publicly about their experiences?
