The history of warfare is inseparable from the history of the world and civilization. According to studies, in the past 3,400 years there have only been around 268 years of global peace. That's about 8% of human history!
Since so much of our history revolves around war, much of it also revolves around the people who fought in those wars. Many great warriors, commanders, and strategists are credited for changing the course of history. While some are more infamous than famous, they're all important.
