The vast majority of airports around the world are located in the outskirts of the cities they are meant to serve. Indeed, there are some closer than others, but it's not common to find airports just a few miles away from city centers. There are, however, a few exceptions.

Jorge Newbery Airfield sits in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, just 4.4 miles (7.3 km) from the city center.
