Six in 10 companies are firing recent Gen Z graduates, report says

Findings suggest that bosses let go of new Gen Z employees only months after hiring them

Intelligent.com, a platform that helps recent graduates and students enter the workforce, recently published survey results revealing that six in 10 employers are quick to fire fresh Gen Z graduates just months after hiring them. Around 1,000 US business leaders participated in the survey. Moreover, one in six employers mentioned that they are not sure if they would be inclined to hire recent college graduates in the future.

The reasons bosses cited for their decisions were that Gen Z graduates are not motivated to work, do not demonstrate initiative and professionalism, and lack communication skills that are essential for the workplace environment.
