August 2024 saw the reopening of one of Africa's most famous hotel properties, Treetops Lodge. Located in Kenya's Aberdare National Park, Treetops is where a young Princess Elizabeth stayed with her husband, Prince Philip, in 1952 during a royal visit to the country. It's also where she learned that her father, King George VI, had passed away and of her ascension to the throne. The property today is fully refurbished and remains a wildlife hotspot.
