While most of us tend to obsess about what we can't present to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), there's actually a substantial list of unexpected items that the US agency does allow through airport checkpoints.
And, soon, you’ll no longer need to worry about limiting your liquids to small bottles in your carry-on, as the 3-1-1 rule will be officially abolished. This rule currently requires liquids to be in containers no larger than 100 ml, totaling a maximum of 1 liter, and packed in a transparent zippered plastic bag.
Although CT scanners for detecting dangerous substances will remain, they will now allow personal hygiene products such as soap, cosmetics, and cologne to be transported in their regular-sized containers in carry-on luggage.
